Celluon Epic

Redesign for Sustainability

The Celluon Epic is a laser projection keyboard, a concept that never caught on. I redesigned the product to have improved sustainability credentials, by carrying out a detailed life cycle assessment. I simplified the component list and replaced materials, but most crucially added utility by transforming the product into a keyboard 'extender' for laptops, projecting a number pad or other personalised hot keys. Finding its niche, the product would be less likely to fall into disuse and disposal before its time.
